THREE people were taken to hospital after a head-on crash on Pearson Street on Saturday afternoon.
A Holden Statesman lost control in wet conditions on the roundabout outside Bunnings Warehouse around 3pm, sliding onto the wrong side of Pearson Street and colliding with a Nissan Patrol.
A passenger in each car, along with the driver of the Nissan Patrol, were taken to Wagga Base Hospital with minor injuries.
Man assaulted on Fitzmaurice StPOLICE are hunting a man who allegedly punched another man and stole his phone outside the council chambers on Fitzmaurice Street early on Sunday morning.
About 1.25am, the victim was walking past the council chamber when the attackerapproached him and spoke to him briefly before punching him in the head.
The punch caused the victrim to drop his phone, with the other man picking it up and running off.
