Police have warned parents after an abduction attempt was reported in Usher. BUNBURY parents have been urged to speak to their children about stranger danger after a suspected attempted abduction in Usher on Thursday.

Police have advised about 7.30am on April 2, a man in a white 1980 Toyota Landcruiser asked a school-aged girl to get into his car a number of times.

The girl refused to get into the car and the man drove away.

Police say the girl did the right thing in reporting the incident to her school immediately.

The man is described as 180 cms tall and about 35 to 40 years of age.

He had bright ginger hair and a short ginger beard.

Police are investigating the matter and have suggested parents speak to their children about protective behaviours.
